Physicians

 

Dr. Buck is a graduate of Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. He received his Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology training at the University of Rochester, New York
 

Dr. Gates graduated from Duke University School of Medicine, where he completed his Internal Medicine internship and residency. He completed a Gastroenterology fellowship at the Mayo Clinic, and was an Associate Professor at the University of Kentucky.
 

Dr. Ponec graduated from Stanford University, and earned his Medical Degree at the University of Southern California. His Internal Medicine training was at UCLA. He completed his Gastroenterology Fellowship training at the University of Washington in Seattle in 1997.
 

Dr. Schultheiss earned his Medical Degree from the University of Illinois. His Internal Medicine training was at Oregon Health Sciences University. He completed his Gastroenterology Fellowship at the University of Utah in 1989.
 

Dr. Em is a graduate of Harvard College and the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He did his residency and was chief resident in Internal Medicine at the University of California, Irvine. Dr. Em has special interests in inflammatory bowel disease, therapeutic Endoscopy and liver diseases.
 

Dr. Kao graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University and earned her medical degree from the University of Virginia. She completed her internal medicine residency training and gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Vermont.
 

Dr. Katherine Hoda was born and raised in the Willamette Valley, completed her undergraduate studies at Oregon State University, and earned her medical degree at Oregon Health & Sciences University. Following medical school she spent six years at Oregon Health & Science University completing an internal medicine residency followed by a gastroenterology fellowship. Dr. Hoda’s clinical and research interests include quality outcomes in colonoscopy, diseases of the colon including colorectal cancer and inflammatory bowel disease, and pancreatic and biliary disease.

 

A native of Oregon, Dr. Brandes earned a Bachelor of Science in English at Willamette University and then earned his Medical Degree at Oregon Health & Sciences University. He spent 6 years in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he completed his Internal Medicine residency as well as a Gastroenterology Fellowship. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He has special interest in liver disease, colorectal cancer screening and emerging endoscopic technologies.

Dr. Subramanian is a graduate of the University of California, and earned his Medical Degree at New York Medical College. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Tufts-New England Medical Center in Boston, and completed a fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Vermont. He was an Assistant Professor and Attending Physician at Tufts University and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine.

Daniel C. Butler PA-C is a graduate of University of Iowa College of Medicine Physician Assistant Program, where he completed both his physician assistant certification and a Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies. Prior to admission to the Physician Assistant program, Mr. Butler received a Master’s of Science degree from Colorado State University in Human Anatomy and Physiology. Mr. Butler had 7 years experience in primary care medicine prior to joining SGC.
 

Jennifer S. Semmelroth MPAS, PA-C earned her Masters of Physican Assistant Studies Degree from the University of Iowa College of Medicine, Iowa City, Iowa and B.A. Summa Cum Laude Anthropology-Zoology Degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan
 

Mindy Glivinski, PA-C is a graduate of the Oregon Health & Science University, School of Medicine Physician Assistant Program, where she earned her Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies. Ms. Glivinski has had six years of experience in primary care medicine prior to joining SGC.
